Fantasia Fairways Mini Golf

When you talk to a Cast Member, you generally learn a thing or two. When Chris and I showed up to Fantasia Gardens and Fairways, we did not expect what we heard next.

“Fantasia Fairways is the second hardest mini golf course in the world,” the Cast Member told us.

I naturally had to ask, “Where is the hardest mini golf course?”

“Dubai,” he said.

I guess I’ll have to settle for second.

I also did not realize that there were two mini golf options here at Fantasia Gardens and Fairways. Since it was hot, we decided to only play one of the two, and that was the harder side - Fantasia Fairways.

Fantasia Fairways looks a lot like a links course only smaller. You have the tee boxes, fairways, and greens, and the only hazards are the “sand traps.” I say that with quote marks because the sand traps are big holes with white turf to look like sand. I spent most of my round in these sand traps, and it is not easy to get out of them. Chris was the better putter by far.

Fantasia Gardens is more what you would expect at a putt-putt course. Characters from Disney’s Fantasia movie are littered across the course with your traditional putt-putt obstacles - putting through windmills and houses and all sorts of fun things.

Are you up for a challenge? Definitely check out Fantasia Fairways. Playing mid-day is not very pleasant in the Florida summer heat, but it’s a great way to start your morning or work off that delicious dinner.
