WandaVision Review

Ho-ly crap!

First, I’m not a comic book guy. I owned one Superman comic growing up, and the comic book format just wasn’t for me. But I love superheros, and when I got Disney+, I quickly watched all of the Marvel movies available.

Now, I’m getting to watch WandaVision for the second time. The first time was amazing, but I was just trying to figure out up from down. The second time around might be even better.

After watching each episode as they were released on Disney+, I am watching an episode or two with my wife each night. I have to say that it’s hard not to give away the ending when she starts asking questions. And sometimes (actually most of the time), I have to say, “You’re just going to have to wait and see.”

What I love about it is that the Marvel Cinematic team took some really daring (read: COOL or AWESOME) creative liberties and license with this episode. I have seen Agent Carter. I thought it was great, but it’s a predictable format for an action story. WandaVision is just SO DIFFERENT.

And I love it!

The sets. The theme music. The twists and turns. They are magnificent, and they are perfect. For the first Disney+ installment in the Marvel Universe, the team has really hit this one out of the park.

I can’t wait to see what happens to Wanda in the future, and I’m eagerly awaiting the release of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
